You Asked, We Built It: Introducing the BlumSafe Secure Armoire
A hidden safe inside a beautifully made, American hardwood armoire — no wall required
By Rob Blum
For years, customers have loved the functionality of a BlumSafe, but often we would hear that they didn’t have a place for it in their wall or built-in closet – or didn’t want to deal with the hassle, especially if they might be moving in two years. A common refrain has been, “But can’t you just put it in a piece of furniture, something that can hold a BlumSafe AND give me lots of storage?”
We listened. Introducing the American-made (of course) BlumSafe Secure Armoire – an armoire with a hidden safe.
From the outside, it’s a beautiful, well-made armoire — tall doors on top, three big drawers on the bottom. Available in dark maple, cherry, or walnut, in your choice of stain — including blackened — or in a custom color or wood, with professional matching to your existing furniture. Built to a high standard from solid American hardwoods – no plywood or MDF – our Amish carpenters in Ohio wouldn’t hear of it. Dovetail jointed drawers and beautiful hardware and infinitely configurable to fit your bedroom (or you can buy a complete, matching bedroom set from our furniture partner!). This is luxury safe furniture. It looks completely at home in a master bedroom, a dressing room, or even your living room.
Open the doors, and one side reveals a BlumSafe, either steel door or display door — the same American-made safe you know from our wall-mounted line, now mounted securely in a customized enclosure on a fascia board inside the cabinet. Inside you can configure winders turning, jewelry drawers, a shelf for a firearm or other valuables. The other side of the top portion of the armoire? A clothing bar or shelves — or a second BlumSafe, for those who want maximum, concealed secure storage.

We’ve also added something special for those who want an extra layer of protection: an optional concealment furniture-style shelf unit that sits in front of the safe inside the cabinet. It sits in place looking like it belongs there, with shirts or other clothing on the shelves, until you unlock it with a magnetic key and it smoothly swings out of the way on its concealed piano hinge to reveal your BlumSafe. True concealment furniture.
The three bottom drawers of the Secure Armoire provide lots of room for clothing, and can even accept BlumSafe’s Watch Winder Drawer Insert (US patent pending), which uses a servo mechanism so your automatic watches are wound, displayed beautifully when the drawer opens, and fully charged while it’s closed.

For watch collectors, this may be the ultimate winder armoire. But it’s just as at home holding fine jewelry, a firearm, important documents, or anything else you’d rather not advertise, yet like to keep close at hand – not locked up in a gun safe in the basement. In any usage, this is luxury safe furniture.
It builds on the beauty of our very successful Concealment Cabinet – where the safe emerges from the cabinet on a TV lift – but provides a much greater amount of storage and is probably more likely to gain the approval of a significant other.
American-made by Amish craftsmen in Ohio, and fully customizable. It is 75” tall with the plinth base, 78” with legs (pick the look that better fits your home), 44” wide and 22 ½” deep. Introductory pricing — for the first three months — starts at $3,999 for the armoire, which is genuinely competitive for furniture of this caliber.

The Secure Armoire is built to order, with an 8-10 week delivery time, and is brought by our furniture deliverers into your house to your bedroom (or wherever you want it installed). Minimal installation is required – like all tall pieces of furniture, it needs to be attached to the wall for anti-tipping protection, or for greater security, bolted to wall studs (full instructions are here [LINK]), the safe placed into the cabinet and secured with eight included screws into pre-drilled holes, and if you are using winders or the display door safe, plug it into the wall.
This is the BlumSafe experience, no wall required. I am so excited about this creation. If you are near the Greensboro/High Point area in North Carolina, you must make an appointment to come to our showroom to see it — or go to the webpage here and configure and see your own.
