However, finding the perfect positioning for these winders in a drawer can be tricky. The optimal position for winding is between 80-90 degrees, but this makes it hard to view the watch face when the drawer is open. The Invention: A Seamless Integration of Function and Form (Hyperbole? OK, Maybe a Bit)

Enter the BlumSafe Watch Winder Drawer Insert, a truly unique solution. Each Insert includes a wood base that attaches to the side of your drawer with screws. Two rows of watch winder boxes are then attached to the base with spring-loaded hinges. These wooden winder boxes house our removable Boxy winders, each with adjustable settings for the number of rotations per day and direction of rotation. Each row of winders is powered and connected to a power adapter via a discreet wire at the bottom that runs out the back of your drawer to your wall outlet.

But here’s the magic: each row of winders is connected to a servo motor, controlled by a low power magnetic switch (not powerful enough to affect your watches). When the drawer is opened, the switch communicates with a controller to command the servo to lower the winders to a 60-degree angle for optimal viewing. When the drawer is closed, the servo moves the winders back to a 90-degree angle, ensuring your watches are perfectly wound.

Custom wood solutions are available in addition to our stock choices (stock choices — my favorite, walnut, maple, to match most drawer interiors, mahogany and painted white or black). The Inserts are available in three sizes, depending on your drawer size and watch collection – 3, 4, or 5 winders wide (translating to 6, 8, or 10 winders per drawer) – ensuring you have the perfect fit for your collection. You just need a drawer with at least 5 ½” of internal height and a wall outlet  somewhere nearby, and you are good to go.

For greater security you can even build it into a drawer with a Bluetooth or keyed lock, or an invisible concealment drawer.
